Support & FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about using Plans. Can't find what you need? Reach out below.

Getting started

How do I create a plan?

Tap the create button from Home, add a time, one or more stops, and invite friends. You can also let Restaurant Roulette suggest a spot if you can't decide where to go.

How does Restaurant Roulette work?

Start a roulette room, invite your group, and Plans narrows down nearby restaurants for everyone to vote on until one wins. Plans Plus unlocks larger roulette rooms.

How do I find local events?

Open Explore or Local Events to see meetups and events happening near you. Tap any event to see details or turn it into a plan with one tap.

How does "who's out" work?

If you opt in and share your location, friends can see that you're out and where, so they can invite you to join what they're already doing. You can turn this off anytime in Settings or your device's location permissions.

Pia, Meet & Trips

Who is Pia?

Pia is the planning companion built into Plans. Ask her by text or voice — or say "Talk to Pia" to Siri — and she'll recommend places and build a plan around your group. You can see and clear what she remembers in Settings. Free accounts get 20 Pia requests a week; Plans Plus removes the cap.

What is Meet?

Meet is dating on Plans. Profiles show the plan someone would actually go on, and a match has 72 hours to agree on a real place and time. Meet requires a selfie check, is for adults 18+, and never appears on your public Plans profile. See Meet and Safety.

How do Trips work?

Search for flights and hotels once, save the options you like, and compare them side by side. Your group votes on the hotel and the flight, and the winner becomes a Plan everyone can see.

What are Circles and Communities?

Communities are local groups — run clubs, supper clubs, book clubs — with their own chat, events and invite links. Circles is the tab where your Communities live.

Account & privacy

How do I sign in?

Sign in with Apple or continue with Google — there's no separate Plans password to manage.

Who can see my plans and location?

Only friends or people you've invited to a specific plan can see its details. Location sharing for features like "who's out" is opt-in and controlled by you. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. If you can't get into the app, email hello@plans.app from the address on your account and we'll delete your account and data.

How do I report or block someone?

From a person's profile or a plan, use the report or block option. Blocking also cancels any pending plan invitations between you and that person.

Plans Plus & Plans Host

What do I get with Plans Plus?

Unlimited Pia+, the what's-hot map layers in Explore, and larger Restaurant Roulette rooms. Plans Host adds host tools — the invite dashboard, announcements and QR check-in — on top of everything in Plus. Meet+ is a separate subscription for Meet.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not Plans directly. You can request one through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Safety

Is it safe to meet people through Plans?

Plans helps you connect with people, but doesn't supervise meetups. For first-time meetups, choose public, staffed venues and avoid sharing precise home locations. See our Terms of Service for more.

What should I do if something goes wrong?

Use the in-app report or block tools right away, and contact hello@plans.app if you need help from our team. In an emergency, contact local authorities first.
